Advantages and Disadvantages of Online Learning
The year 2020 was the first time online learning was applied in Lebanon. Besides, Lebanon is
facing several political and financial crises which made the implementation
of online learning more difficult. Whereas officials in the Ministry of
Education found this experience a successful one, a teacher who teaches in both a
public and a private school found it unsuccessful for several reasons. Here is a
short reportage that shows the advantages and disadvantages of online learning.

Update:
After the continuous increase in Coronavirus cases in Lebanon, the Minister of Education, Tarek El Majzoub, held a press conference where he announced the cancellation of the official exams for Grade 9 and 12 and the continuation of the academic year through online and distance learning. However, there was no clear statement regarding the final exams and he kept the decision for the schools to choose the best criteria for their students to pass their grades.
